Welcome to our website. Just in case you don't know us, we are John & Vanessa Cookson. This is not particularly intended as a public website, but if you've found your way here anyway, you're welcome to stay and view.
The House at Lizio is our second home, in France. We split our time between our two homes. When we're away, the house at Lizio remains empty or we have visitors come and look after it for us. The House at Lizio is not a commercial letting and is only available to family, friends, or those who have been strongly recommended to us by them.
For you the visitor, this site is to let you know roughly what to expect and how to find your way there. No formal charges are made for use of the house, but we expect visitors to respect our property and leave it clean and tidy.
Donations of items for the house, contributions towards costs incurred (e.g. electricity, water, firewood, etc) and liquid supplies left behind are always welcome.
Where is Lizio?
Lizio is a lovely small town in the heart of Brittany, in the Morbihan region (56) of France. The nearest city is Vannes (about 25km) and the nearest towns are Ploermel, Malestroit and Josselin. Our house is in a small community called Trévéré to the west of Lizio about 1km. The nearest well-know city (at least to us Brits) is Rennes - about 80km (50m) away.
